WOW! May at Monkey Puzzle has been LARGE SCALE…

The huge fire engine from St.Albans fire station visited Monkey Puzzle. Red monkeys had an amazing day when the fire fighters from white watch helped the children experience what it felt like to wear the very heavy uniform, hold the hose, sit inside the awesome fire engine, and even turned on the flashing lights.

All the children have been exploring mark making using balls, string and even their bodies and producing wonderfully colourful large scale size paintings on room size pieces of paper.

Both Blue and Pink monkeys have been using large amounts of flour, water, jelly, sand, soil, paste and pasta during messy play to discover different marks that they are able to make.

April brought with it the good weather, there has been lots of water play, walks, picnics and planting.

The children made colourful paper flowers, sparkly bookmarks and gorgeous cards for Mothers day.

Easter was celebrated all week with eater egg hunts every day, printing, giant Easter egg painting, chocolate chick nests were both made and eaten! Bunny and chick biscuits were decorated and eaten!

Easter egg cards went home with the children’s own sunflower seedlings that they planted and grew as gifts.

Whatever the month fun activities for all the children are always planned in. Shaving foam is always fun to explore, feel and enjoy….
