January News

January was warmer than expected and we have managed to get many outings to the park and splash in puddles. As usual we have done lots of celebrating, this month we have celebrated Australia Day… in style!

We have been lucky enough to have genuine Didgeridoos and boomerangs in the nursery which the children were able to explore, we have listed to the sound of the outback, eaten Vegimite, made Australian flags, made boomerangs and baked Australian cakes.

We have also been celebrating Chinese New Year, all the children have been able to have a go using chopsticks at lunch time… A bit messy but great fun! We have been dancing to beautiful Chinese music and making both tiny and oversized fiery dragons.
