Charity events are an important part of Monkey Puzzle, St Albans ethos. This month we supported Jeans 4 Genes Day which was the very first charity event we supported after opening in 2010. It is now an annual event! This year we raised over £100, the children decorated jeans, dressed in denim, explored blue scented Play-Doh and plunged their hands into blue glittery paint!

Learning through play is also how we teach the children at Monkey Puzzle St Albans and mathematics can be so much fun! Whether it’s playing with giant dice and guessing which side the dice will land, sorting colours, matching number cards, finding gel numbers hidden in sand, grouping small objects or using giant number lines it’s all been done this month!

The giant tree that shades our children over the summer has started to drop its leaves and give our children opportunities to collect its leaves to print with and discussions about autumn have now begun.
