Communicating with young people whether through, words or actions is an imperative part of learning. At Monkey Puzzle Ridgmont rd we use songs, smiles and most recently we have introduced Makaton signing in Red Monkeys. The children have been learning the first letter of their names as well as other signs such as more, help and thank you.
This month our youngest children in Blue Monkeys have been exploring their world through role play. Using the nurseries hairdressing, office and vet role play boxes the babies have had fun discovering texture, buttons, imaginative play, language and so much more.
Pink Monkeys have had a month of celebrations as lots of children share August birthdays, these celebrations have ensured lots of singing as well as sharing ideas and conversation around how different people celebrate in different ways. Supernastics has continued which allows for physical development in new and interesting ways.
St Albans fire station had an open day which lots of our children visited this linked nicely to the amazing original art work the children have worked on over the month…The big red fire engine is proudly displayed in Pink Monkeys.
