December is a joyful time of year where the nursery comes together to celebrate different festivals. We love listening to Christmas songs and singing along to our favourites as we decorate the nursery with tinsel, baubles and homemade decorations for Christmas.
We also learned about the Jewish festival of light, Chanukah. The children in Red Monkeys lit candles for the menorah, with the help of their adults, and then used their hands to create colourful pictures of menorahs.
On our last day, the oldest children in Red Monkeys walked up to the St Albans Cathedral with the help of some of their mummies and daddies to listen to the choir practice, look at the different nativity scenes and light a candle to wish their friends a Merry Christmas.
From all the staff at Monkey Puzzle St Albans Orient Close, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
