February always brings love and sharing at Monkey Puzzle, St Albans and 2017 has been no exception. To celebrate Valentines Day our babies pressed heart shaped cookie cutters in to scented play dough, worked collaboratively to create a giant heart and found floating hearts in bubbly water. Our older children made cards to take home for their loved ones and cooked with the nursery chef to make heart shaped cakes and if that wasn’t enough hearts they also printed and painted pictures on both paper and our touch screen computer table.
There has also been some unique activities planned for the children such as bubble wrap pat painting, allowing for babies to crawl over the bubble wrap and see the paint squish around under them without getting wet.
Even though the month has been particularly chilly the children at Monkey Puzzle have wrapped up warm and have been to the local park and enjoyed SuperSport outside.
ICT plays a large role in all our children’s learning and our oldest children have particularly enjoyed taking digital photographs this month.
