January for many is a quiet month following the festive season…not at Monkey Puzzle, St Albans!
Januarys calendar brings plenty of rich learning opportunities that annually we celebrate such as Australia Day and Chinese New Year. For both of these days the children were lucky enough to hold real artefacts from the country, eat traditional foods, create art work and listen to music.
As well as our normal January celebrations the weather allowed for some outside fun with the arrival of snow! our children dressed up warm and played in the snow, when it became to cold they then brought their ideas and imagination inside and made foam snowmen and covered our one of a kind ‘inside/outside’ room in snow!
We have also celebrated national Winnie The Pooh day for the first time which was a huge success.
