The busy month of May has provided the children with opportunities to discover more about the country we live in and our Royal Family…
On hearing the news of the birth of the new Prince, the children at Monkey Puzzle became very busy making letters and pictures of Congratulations to send to William and Kate. This sparked discussions about babies and some of the children who have baby siblings have been sharing stories from their home life. The children were very excited to be able to walk to the local post box together to post their letters and pictures to Kensington Palace…
The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan was an exciting celebration that we wanted to be a part of at Monkey Puzzle. The children and staff arrived at nursery dressed as Brides or Grooms, Princes or Princesses and a range of wedding themed activities were explored throughout all the age groups. The eldest children collaboratively baked a giant wedding cake, carefully creating flower shapes from icing to decorate the top! Our lovely outside area was completely dressed with Union Jack bunting as the whole nursery came together to enjoy a garden party tea to celebrate this special occasion!
We now have the final amount for our fundraising week last month… We are very excited to announce that the Monkey Puzzle community raised an amazing £10,000 to help Jossie!
