September is a month of new beginnings, we have waved goodbye to our oldest children and welcomed knew faces throughout the nursery.
The continuous provision areas that are always set up in each room become extremely important as children transition from room to room and explore their new surroundings with enthusiasm. The book corners become wonderous as the children walk into stories as their carers bring stories to life through puppets, oversized books, props and character voices. The home corners bring huge opportunity for imaginative role play while all our lino areas become exciting mark making hubs. The whole nursery supported Jeans for Genes Day this month which is a U.K based children’s charity supporting children with genetic disorders. Staff and children dressed in Blue and denim and activities were very blue and varied.
