September has been another great month at Monkey Puzzle with all rooms having lots of fun, carrying out many creative and exciting activities.
Blue Monkeys have been very active, climbing and developing their balancing skills through a beginner’s obstacle course! They have also been learning lots of new animal sounds through exploring flash cards which we hope you’ve heard at home too!
Pink Monkeys have been amazing artists which is reflected in their ‘Humpty Dumpty’ Display. This has involved lots of messy and sticky times, from sponge painting to material sticking. ‘Humpty Dumpty’ was created as it is the children’s favourite song on our computer table and is played on many occasions.
Red Monkeys have had green fingers this month and have been exploring nature through the planting process. They have worked hard successfully planting bulbs, which will hopefully grow with the help of our little monkeys into beautiful tulips! Their next discovery stop to develop this is, Seasons!
A big well done to all our children, parents and staff who took part and donated on our ‘Jeans for Genes Day’. Together through making and buying blue biscuits/cakes and wearing our jeans/blue clothing we raised £150.00 for the charity, Genetic Disorders UK.
