Exciting things are happening at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery St Albans, and this weekend our much-loved mascot, Marvin the Monkey, took an adventure around the city he’ll soon be calling home!
With our brand-new nursery set to open in Autumn 2026, Marvin was eager to get to know the wonderful community of St Albans, meet local families, and discover everything this vibrant and historic city has to offer.
Marvin Visits St Albans Foodies Festival
Marvin’s first stop was the fantastic St Albans Foodies Festival, where he spent the day exploring the delicious food stalls, enjoying the lively atmosphere, and meeting lots of friendly faces.
From artisan treats and sweet delights to freshly prepared seafood and mouth-watering pizza, Marvin couldn’t resist sampling some of the incredible food on offer! He even managed to sneak a slice of pizza while nobody was looking…
The festival wasn’t just about food, though. Marvin loved dancing along to the live music performances and soaking up the festival spirit alongside local families from across St Albans and the surrounding areas.
Discovering the Heart of St Albans
After enjoying the festival, Marvin headed into the city to explore more of what makes St Albans such a wonderful place for families.
Known for its rich history, beautiful parks, bustling shopping streets, and thriving community, St Albans offers the perfect environment for children to learn, grow, and flourish. Marvin enjoyed wandering through the historic city centre, taking in the sights of this charming market city and learning about its fascinating heritage.
Along the way, he met lots of local families, discovered some fantastic independent shops, and stopped by several welcoming cafés that make St Albans such a popular destination for parents and young children.
From the vibrant city centre to the family-friendly parks and community spaces, Marvin quickly realised why so many families choose to call St Albans home.
